Summer Reading Club for ages 1 – 17

Combat the 'summer slide' and keep up your reading skills during the holiday break throughout December and January with the Summer Reading Club! For every 5 book reviews you enter you will receive a lucky-dip prize and the chance to win a big prize at the end of the holidays. Reviews can be written or drawn as a picture. There are also challenge activity sheets to finish throughout the holidays.

Learn to love your laptop

Experienced computer trainer, Ferg Brand, will deliver a two lesson program on Windows 10 to help you feel more confident using your laptop. During these two friendly, small group sessions you will learn to navigate around the screen, keyboard and mouse as well as some basic shortcuts to get you started. Bring your own laptop.

Are you looking for some creative and festive fun? Join Bronnie from 'Create with US' for some pom pom making for Fun Fridays. Bronnie will show you how to make a pom pom from scratch and put it together to make your very own snowman to pop on the tree or tie onto your school bag.

Water Bug Blitz

Grab a dip net and magnifying glass and join in the Water Bug Blitz to discover which aquatic creatures are living in our creeks. These tiny creatures are great indicators of waterway health, so any water bugs you collect will provide useful information about our creeks. A great Citizen Science program for all the family! Lane Cove Youth – End of Year Skate Jam

Come and say farewell to 2020! The team from TOTEM Skateboarding are coming out for an end of year skate jam. Come along and skate, or hang out in air-con at the centre. Great food, prizes and giveaways! Ages 11-18. Due to restrictions, at any one time there is a limit of 20 young people to participate in skate jam. Total centre capacity of 30 young people. Drug and alcohol free event.
