Summer Reading Club
28 November to 31 January
Read books! Write reviews! Win prizes! Join our Shorelink summer reading club! Keep track of your reading over the summer holidays and hand in book reviews to go into the draw to receive prizes at the end of the summer. Sign up at Lane Cove, Greenwich, Stanton and Mosman Libraries, and keep track of your reading logs using our Beanstack app, available from November 28 2019. Every child who puts in an entry is invited to attend our end of Summer Reading Club wrap-up games event on Tuesday February 4 2020 from 3:30 to 4:30pm where we will hand out the prizes for Lane Cove and Greenwich Libraries. No booking required.

Ozobot Mazes

Are your children's toys lying around gathering dust or have they simply outgrown them? Come along to Lane Cove Library Toy Swap and exchange them for something new!  Toys must be in working condition and suitable for ages 2-9 years. Maximum of six toys per child. Check-in between 11:00am – 11:30am.  Swap 11:30am – 12:30pm.

Family Author Talk – Jan Latta

Come and listen to Jan's amazing, and thrilling, encounters with endangered animals all around the world.
Jan Latta is an accomplished children's author and wildlife photographer. Jan follows animals in the wild to tell their story with photographs. She is the 'voice' of the endangered animals to help protect them.
Her books are full of stunning photographs, maps, facts, and fun activities, and she creates free educational videos of the animals in action in the wild.
Jan will have signed copies of her books available for sale after the talk. All ages.

Fur, Feathers, Scales: Wildlife in your Garden

Aussie Animals Spotlight Walk
Thursday 23 January, 7:45pm – 9:30pm, Ventemans Reach
Enjoy a twilight walk in the bush looking for our Aussie animals! Spot possums, search for geckoes and listen for bats with our bat detector. See what wildlife comes out at night! Bring a torch and wear sturdy shoes. Suitable for ages 7 years and up.
