Fun Fridays Koori Kinnections Connecting with Culture workshop

Water Bug Blitz 

Grab a dip net and magnifying glass and join in the Water Bug Blitz to discover which aquatic creatures are living in our creeks. These tiny creatures are great indicators of waterway health, so any water bugs you collect will provide useful information about our creeks. A great Citizen Science program for all the family! Grow a Green Thumb

Try your hand at a variety of propagation techniques suitable for growing native plants and many others. A great way to pick up new skills for your garden and to become more familiar with our beautiful local native plants. Suitable for all skill levels.

Land Clean-Up at Blackman Park 

Clean-ups are a great way to bring the community together, raise awareness, and start the conversation about reducing litter at the source. Bring the whole family to this community clean up. All ages are welcome. Bags and litter pickers provided. Please BYO gloves, water and snack.

Discovery Bike Tour

Rediscover the joy of bike riding in this free workshop where you will learn about road rules, bike safety equipment and how to plan your route. Complete a supervised road ride through Longueville, Riverview and Lane Cove and enjoy morning tea on us when you return to Lane Cove Plaza. All participants must be 16+ years and be able to confidently ride a bike.

Helping Learner Drivers Become Safer Drivers Workshop

Teaching someone to drive can be a happy experience. You can learn all the simple steps on how to teach a learner driver at a FREE online workshop. Learner drivers are also invited to attend. Registrations close on Monday 23 November. Please ensure you include your postal address when you register as Council staff will mail you an information pack to use during the workshop.
