Lane Cove Council has a range of planning controls that may apply
to your proposal. It is essential that you determine how your proposal
may be affected by these planning controls before you start designing
your development. By checking which controls are relevant to your
proposal, it may save you time and money in the design phase.
In particular, the Lane Cove Local Environmental Plan 2009 provides controls
for things such as building design and height, floor space ratio
and heritage conservation. These controls must be complied with.
Council also has a Development
Control Plan which provide further detailed controls on matters
such as car parking, storm water and bush land conservation.
During your review process you may find that your property is also
affected by other special controls such as those imposed by the
New South Wales State Government (e.g. State Environmental Planning
Policies). To ensure that you have considered the full range controls
affecting your proposal, contact Council’s Customer Service
Centre and speak with the duty Planner.
