About the Draft LEP
At the Council Meeting on 4 August 2008 Council resolved to adopt Draft Local Environmental Plan 2008 (DLEP 2008) and submit it to the Department of Planning (DoP) for gazettal.

The zoning, floor space ratio, heights and other planning controls in DLEP 2008 can be viewed in the maps. These controls may be endorsed by the DoP, it is envisaged that the DLEP and comprehensive DCP will come into effect in the second half of 2009.
Please note that DLEP 2008 has not been gazetted at this time and is not in effect .
Whilst the DLEP must be taken into consideration for development applications lodged prior to the plan being published in the Government Gazette by the Department of Planning, the controls in it may be subject to change.

Associated Projects
Council is also currently preparing a the Comprehensive Development Control Plan (CDCP). This is a companion document to the DLEP and provides guidance to development on matters such as overshaddowing, sustainability and car parking.
