The Lane Cove Council Development Control Plan (DCP) was developed to support the Local Environment Plan in providing detailed development controls such as landscaped area, car spaces and building scale. The DCP came into force on 22 February 2010, with the most recent amendments coming into force on 9 December 2011.
Council sought to consult with the community in accordance with Clause 74C of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 on proposed amendments to the Development Control Plan 2010 (DCP).
These amendments relate to site specific planning controls for the land zoned R4 High Density Residential at 296-314 Burns Bay Road.
The purpose of the amendments are to:-
- Expand the locality to include 296 and 302 Burns Bay Rd, it currently relates only to numbers 304-314, and to reflect minor boundary changes;
- Supplement the existing controls relating to the local site context; and
- Provide administrative editing to ensure consistent formatting and consolidate the DCP into a single document (as currently it refers to an external consultant's report).
A report addressing issues raised throughout the consultation period was considered at the Ordinary Council Meeting of 16 March 2015 where Council resolved to adopt the adopt Development Control Plan.
