Council pest management programs in outdoor public places, such as parks and ovals aim to apply best practice, humane and cost effective methods that will have minimal impacts on the environment.

Under the Pesticides Regulation 2017 Council is required to prepare a Pesticide Notification Plan and publically exhibit this plan for a minimum of four (4) weeks allowing for community comment.

Council has developed a Draft Pesticide Notification Plan 2018 which aims to inform members of the community of the use of pesticides in outdoor public places in their local area, prior to the implementation of necessary pest management programs and allow members of the community to take action to avoid contact with pesticides, if they wish.

Council's draft Pesticide Notification Plan is available online.

To have your say on the Draft Plan, please make a submission to the General Manager, quoting the reference 'SU7246' by:

•  Post: PO Box 20, Lane Cove NSW 1595; or
•  Email:

Submissions close 5pm, Friday 18 January 2019.

If you have any enquiries please contact Council's Coordinator Parks and Urban Spaces on (02) 9911 3544.
