By 2020 there will be more space for you to relax, play and park as we create a vibrant new community space in the heart of Lane Cove through the Rosenthal Project.
This involves transforming the previous Rosenthal Avenue Car Park into a vibrant community space complete with a new park and 500 underground car parking spaces supported by an additional retail precinct.
Council is seeking your ideas to help create a permanent name for this exciting
new space - it's easy to participate and all suggestions are welcome.
Suggesting a New Name
Complete your suggestion for a new name online
Ideally your name will reflect the three
main values which have been developed for the space:
Potential names are to be positive and represent the values of our community today and into the future.
Names may or may not celebrate a local person, landscape or thing – if you would like to include a brief note on the inspiration for your suggestion, please include this when prompted in the online submission.
Council is seeking your ideas by Sunday 3 June 2018.
The next step will be to review potential names and create a shortlist for further community consultation.
Council has installed a screen in the Plaza to help raise awareness about the opportunity to suggest a name. Passersby can text or tweet their suggested name and it will be added to the list showing on the screen. Some online submissions have been included to help spark some creative thoughts about what the name could be.
Note: for those who do SMS their suggestion, the number is not kept unless you reply giving permission to do so. You are welcome to send additional information about why you have suggested a name using the online submission.
