By 2020 there will be more space for you to relax, play and park as we create a vibrant new community space in the heart of Lane Cove through the Rosenthal Project.
This involves transforming the previous Rosenthal Avenue Car Park into a vibrant community space complete with a new park and 500 underground car parking spaces supported by an additional retail precinct.
Council is seeking your ideas to help create a permanent name for this exciting
Suggesting a New Name
Council asked the community to suggest ideas for a new name from 2 May - 5 June 2018.
Ideally the suggested names would reflect the three
main values which have been developed for the space:
Potential names were encouraged to be positive and represent the values of our community today and into the future.
Names may or may not celebrate a local person, landscape or thing – brief notes on the inspiration for your suggestion were accepted.
The next step is to now review potential names and create a shortlist for further community consultation.
Council also installed a screen in the Plaza to help raise awareness about the opportunity to suggest a name. Passersby could text or tweet their suggested name and it could be shown on the screen along with some of the online suggestions to help spark some creative thoughts about what the name could be.
