A video presentation, has been funded by a consortium of developers as an interpretation of the possible future public domain improvements to be funded through the VPA proposed under the Planning Proposals.
Overview
Council consulted with the community to obtain their views on three draft plans for this site on the southern side of Pacific Highway in the St Leonards Centre, in accordance with the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993. These plans relate to a proposal for the revitalisation of the southern side of Pacific Highway in the St Leonards Centre with new residential/retail/commercial developments and public plazas in an enhanced pedestrian network. The draft plans relate to:-
Draft Voluntary Planning Agreements (Perpetual, Leightons and BMAX Advisory) to contribute funding towards a range of public benefits in the vicinity, including a new Rail Plaza/ Bus Interchange, affordable housing and start-up commercial space. (The site comprises: 472-494 Pacific Hwy: Lot 1 DP 628513 & SP 73071/ 500 Pacific Hwy: SP 82937/ 504-520 Pacific Hwy: Lots 2-6 DP 3175/ Friedlander Place: Lot 1 DP 1179636).
