Consultation on the Draft VPA for public domain works at 29 - 57 Christie St, St Leonards ran from Friday 21 May 2021 to Friday 18 June 2021
Council is consulting with the community on a draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) in relation to public domain works at 29 - 57 Christie St, St Leonards.
The VPA is associated with a Development Application (DA171/2020) which comprises:-
(a) concept plan approval for three building envelopes to be developed in two stages comprising 8 storeys (Building A), 12 storeys (Building B) and 16 storeys (Building C) with a total floor space of 57,267sqm (Concept Plan);
(b) Stage 1 DA for the demolition of the existing building located on the southern portion of the Land, retention of the northern commercial building and construction of two commercial buildings, identified as Building A and Building B (which will be designed to achieve a 5 star Green Star Rating, minimum 5 Star NABERS energy and water rating, and a PCA Grade A office building rating or equivalent), public domain and landscape works and alterations to the existing basement carpark.
The Voluntary Planning Agreement is a mechanism for the delivery of the public benefits described in the Application, including:
- Provision of two through-site links and Council footpaths;
- Public Open Space Upgrades to Christie Street Reserve; and
- Provision of public toilets.
21 May to 18 June 2021 - Exhibition period for community submissions on Draft VPA
June 2021 - Evaluation of submissions received during exhibition period. Amendments incorporated into the VPA as required.
June / July 2021 - Results of community consultation presented to Council for further consideration.Contact:
