Return and Earn opened in Lane Cove on Monday 9 December 2019. Located on P1 of the Little Street car park, the reverse vending machine aims to reduce the amount of beverage container litter in the environment by collecting eligible containers such as cans and bottles.
As of Sunday 12 January, more than 106,000 containers have been deposited.
How to use the Return and Earn reverse vending machine:
- Insert your empty containers into the chute at the front of the reverse vending machine.
- Containers will be scanned to ensure they are eligible for a refund.
