The Electronic Housing Code (EHC) is an online system that allows users to investigate, prepare, lodge and track development applications for exempt and complying development.
Lane Cove Council offers its residents access to this online resource for fast, standardised, paperless electronic lodgement of complying development applications under the NSW Housing Code for lots 200m2 and above. The EHC will also allow the user to determine if they are able to proceed with their development without further approvals, as an exempt development.

How does it work?
The Electronic Housing Code guides users through a step-by-step approvals process.
Find out whether a project is eligible for exempt or complying development and view the relevant standards.
Be guided through a simple process that will help prepare the complying development application.
Once the application is complete it can be easily lodged online.
You can then track the progress of the application online.
Once the result of the application is determined it can be viewed and downloaded from the website.
What does it cost?
