On this page you will find a list of the new residential flat buildings that provide adaptable units.
An adaptable unit is one where it is designed in such a way that it can be easily modified in the future to become accessible to both occupants and visitors with a disability or mobility issues. One accessible parking space is provided for each adaptable unit. Council's Development Control Plans ensure that 20% of units within residential flat buildings are adaptable.
In Lane Cove 80% of new residential units are visitable. 'Visitable' means there is a continuous path of accessible travel from the property frontage or car parking area to the living area and a toilet within the unit.
These adaptable units may be of interest to people with a disability and/or people who are ageing and would like to plan for the future.
The unit number and number of bedrooms in it for each address is shown.
The list is for developments that have been assessed after 1 July 2015.
