One of the newer Bushcare Groups which started in 2012 through the Bush Kids Program. Parents enjoy regenerating the bush under the canopy of Angophoras along the Lane Cove River.

Stoney Gully / Eco
This group started mid-2005 and is helping
to maintain and develop the Eco Garden at the Lane Cove Community Nursery, as
well as undertaking bush regeneration in the adjacent Stoney Gully.

At the Community Nursery entry on
Lloyd Rees Drive, Lane Cove West (entry gate is adjacent to the Scout
longest running Bushcare group, they have been working since 1994 and have seen
some marvellous improvements to their Bushcare site. This group works along
Stringybark Creek in some amazing bushland, ranging from the gully vegetation
along the creek to open woodland on the higher slopes.

This group was formed in 2008. The group are working to
restore a degraded creek line running into the Stringybark Creek catchment. Lots
of primary weeding tackling Privet, Madeira Vine and Trad, to be followed by
revegetation works in the future!

Supported by Lane Cove Rotary, this revegetation site near
the Lane Cove River is needing some TLC to keep it looking good! This group will
be looking after the planted saplings and planting more understorey species to
help suppress the grassy weeds.

group, though small, have made some significant improvements to their site.
Regeneration of native grasses has been encouraging in an area that has suffered
from heavy weed infestation. It's a great place to work, with nice views of the
Lane Cove River!
