Under the Sustainability Small Grants Program, local community organisations can apply for grants of up to $5000 for community sustainability projects. There are two funding rounds per year under the Sustainability Small Grants Program.
The Sustainability Small Grants Program will fund projects that:
1. Increase the environmental sustainability of Lane Cove through projects that have direct and measurable positive environmental outcomes in relation to:
2. Encourage the Lane Cove community to adopt more environmentally sustainable attitudes and behaviours.
Project ideas for community organisations:

|Installation of water tanks||Installation of Pulpmaster for food waste/ compost and worm farming||Weed awareness programs|
|Installation of solar PV or solar hot water||Recycling and waste minimisation projects –including the 'take 3' education campaign||Enhancing wildlife corridors|
|Energy efficiency projects||Sustainability education programs for targeted audiences||Erosion stabilisation/ bush regeneration projects|
|Bike racks for school students||Sustainability camps/forums||Native bees|
