Parks and Reserves

The Lane Cove Municipality contains a wide range of Parks and Recreation areas. The areas are used for a variety of purposes, ranging from organised sporting activities through to passive recreation areas where one can relax and enjoy the open space. The parks are of varying sizes with each has its own unique features for you to explore and enjoy.

Smaller parks are used by local
residents as informal meeting
places where they can get together and their children can explore and  play on equipment provided. Larger areas tend to be used more for sporting activities, although many are areas of large
open space, with ovals and other
sporting facilities.

Lane Cove offers many parks and reserves along the Parramatta and Lane Cove River foreshores. Many parks offer BBQ and picnic facilities and even play host to harbour pools, which are ideal for a dip in summer. Many are the start of bushland walks that are described in the separate listing of Bushland Reserves. Take the time to explore these and discover the beauty of the local environment.
