Join the challenge

Council invites all residents to take part in the 2066 Litter Challenge. Building on the success of last year’s event, where more than 11,000 pieces of rubbish were collected, the 2066 Litter Challenge is back.

Are you up for the challenge? Join the challenge this September to be in the running for prizes.

Pick up litter in September then log how many items you picked up and where. Lane Cove gift vouchers, to the value of $100*, will be awarded for:

  • The most items picked up by an individual
  • The most items picked up by a group or family
  • The most unusual item found

Please make sure to observe the current recommendations of NSW Health including social distancing and staying at home if you are feeling unwell.

We would love to share any 'before and after' images of the area you cleaned, or images of the litter collected, to inspire others to make a difference too. Please post  before and afters on Instagram with #2066LitterChallenge and tag @lanecovecouncil_
