Learn to Love your Laptop
 

Thursdays 8 and 15 April, 10:00am – 11:30am, Lane Cove Library 

Experienced computer trainer, Ferg Brand, will deliver a two-lesson program on Windows 10 to help you feel more confident using your laptop. During these two friendly, small group sessions you will learn to navigate around the screen, keyboard and mouse as well as some basic shortcuts to get you started. Bring your own laptop. Bookings essential as places are limited.

Lane Cove Bush Kids – Grandparent's Day 

Friday 9 April, 9:45am - 11:15am (approx.), meet at Blackman Park, far end of Lloyd Rees Drive, past the playground, Lane Cove West   

Here's an opportunity for grandparents and their grandchildren to slow down and take the time to enjoy looking at and listening to nature together. Grandparents and grandchildren only for this activity.

Grandparent Star in your own Comic Strip 

Friday 9 April, 10:30am – 12:00pm, Lane Cove Library

Bring your story to life in an original comic strip. Capture the imagination with this platform, allowing people of all skill levels to create something magical. You and your grandchild will craft a comic together which shares a chapter of your life history. You are welcome to bring your own laptop. Bookings essential as places limited.

Walk and Talk - Ask the Experts Webinar

Monday 12 April, 10:00am - 11:30am, online via Zoom

Come on a virtual tour of Lane Cove. During this webinar Centrelink, NSW Police and TAFE NSW will provide you with the latest information on their services and how to access them. A Q&A session will follow the presentations. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Tuesday 13 April, 10:30am – 11:30am, Lane Cove Library 

Experience computer colour coding to design a maze for your Ozobot. Test your technology skills and see your robot obey your commands. All materials supplied. Bring your enthusiasm and sense of fun.

Healthy Ageing Webinar with Professor Susan Kurrle - watch it on the big screen

Counsellor Trish Sara tackles the topic of childcare expectations and arrangements when you take on the rewarding role of caring for your grandchildren. Cooking Class with Dietitian Tatiana Bedikian

Come along and learn how you can incorporate key nutrients to maintain a healthy heart long term. Tatiana Bedikian is an Accredited Practising Dietitian at Body Fusion. Tatiana will demonstrate delicious, easy and healthy lunches. There will also be opportunities to sample the cooking. Free event.
