Our Environment » Community Groups   There are many Community and Interest Groups in the Lane Cove area that are focused on creating a more sustainable community.   Sustainability Community and Interest Groups Permaculture Sydney North - Lane Cove Permaculture Sydney North is a rapidly-growing group of over 400 members in the north of Sydney. As the group grew larger, local groups were also set up. The Lane Cove group is a dynamic and diverse group of people, interested in living a more sustainable lifestyle. It meets at 2pm on the second Saturday of every month, holds working and craft bees, swaps seedlings, produce etc. and shares ideas. Our dream is eating local and our passion is eating well! The group is enthusiastically collaborating in setting up a community garden in Lane Cove. The garden is located behind Chatswood South Uniting Church (cnr Mowbray Rd and Pacific Hwy) and the group is actively looking for new members. The group holds an open day between 2pm and 5pm on the last Sunday of each month.
