Monitoring
water quality has become a growing responsibility for Council. Council
monitors tidal pools for turbidity, suspended solids, total coliform
and faecal coliform on a weekly basis to identify problems and monitor
pollutants which may pose a health risk. All tidal pools within
Council jurisdiction are closed for three days following a high
pollution result. Major creeks within the Municipality are monitored
on a monthly basis.
You can report
a Water Quality concern by lodging a Request
for Service with Council.
