NOVEMBER
Learn How To Compost - BOOKED OUT!
Compost provides great nutrients for your garden and can reduce the use of synthetic fertilizers. Plus, by composting your food scraps you save them from ending up in landfill.
Workshops will be held at the Lane Cove Community Nursery.

Bush Tukka/ Bushfoods
Find out about the gastronomic delights that abound in our local bushland. Try some bush tucker and learn which ones you can plant in your backyard.

DECEMBER
Seed Collection Field Trip
From delicate grass seeds to hard woody fruits, our local native plants form and hold seeds in a range of fascinating ways. Come and learn the fine art of
collecting seed, and practice your skills on a local bushwalk. Wear sturdy shoes, bring a hat and water.

Walk Against Warming
This December is D-Day for the planet as world leaders meet in Copenhagen to do a global deal on climate change. While they talk the talk, we're walking the walk all over the world, from New York to Tokyo, Mumbai to Paris and all over Australia. So get your walking shoes on be part of the most important Walk Against Warming ever.
