| Background
|
|
I
have lived in Lane Cove since 1976, but have enjoyed a lifetime
association as my aunt lived in Burns Bay Road for over 60
years.
I
have been a Councillor since 2004, I am a Justice of the Peace, Chair and Trustee of the Gore Hill Cemetery, President of Lane Cove Retirement Village (Pottery Gardens), President of the Public Libraries (NSW Metropolitan Association), Past President Shorelink and current Lane Cove Delegate and Vice President of NSROC (Northern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils). I am also a Panel Member of the Joint Regional Planning Panel.

| Why
I stood for Council |
|
I
believe Lane Cove needs new direction, a move away from internal
politicing and narrow vision, to a vision which meets the
needs of the community. We need to listen to the majority
in regard to development, the environment, traffic management,
preschools, childcare and provision for the elderly. I feel
I have a contribution to make here, hence I stood for election. |
