Community Strategic Plan

Council at its meeting on 2 May 2011 adopted the Community Strategy Plan, Delivery Program and Annual Opertional Plan.

Council during the last 2 years has been developing,

through extensive consultation the Community Strategic Plan, Lane Cove 2025, which outlines the vision for the local community and Council. As part of this process Council has now developed the Delivery Program and Operational Plan which outline the actions to be undertaken to implement Lane Cove 2025 over the next 2 years and a Budget 2011-2014 which support these actions.

The responses from these consultations have been used to develop the goals, objectives and strategies of the Community Strategic Plan. Each comment Council received during the Consultation process has been documented to show where it fits under the CSP. (For details refer "Consultation Comments for the Community Strategic Plan" document)

Lane Cove 2025 is comprised of goals, objectives and strategies for each planning theme, which have been developed with the community through extensive community consultation. As this is a community plan there may be strategies which involve Council to lobby and enter into dialogue with other levels of government, private enterprise, community organisations, educational institutions, non-government, religious organisations and neighbouring councils.

The Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework

Lane Cove 2025 provides the framework for the preparation of Council’s Delivery Program, which incorporates the Operational Plan. The Delivery Program replaces teh former Management Plan and outlines the actions Council will undertake to achieve its goals and how we will measure progress in attaining them. The new framework also requires Council to adopt a resourcing strategy to plan for the actions in the Delivery Program. These resourcing strategies include a Long term Financial Plan, an Infrastructure Asset Management Plan and a Workforce Plan.
