The
following details are provided to assist applicants in completing
their application.
Before
Applying
All applicants are advised to read the following documents
before applying for a position:
You must
download the application pack for the position in which you are
interested. In it should be a
Position
Description or job profile. This outlines the nature of
the job and the work you will be expected to do.
A Person Specification will also be included. This
outlines the level of experience, knowledge and skill that you need
to have if you are to be considered for the post. You need to be
able to demonstrate on the application form how you have this level
of skill, ability, knowledge and experience, whether through paid
employment, private, social, voluntary or domestic responsibilities.
After the closing date, all the applications for a role are reviewed
to see who has the skills to do the job. Those applicants who meet
all or most of the selection criteria may be shortlisted. If you
are shortlisted you will be contacted and invited to attend an interview.
Lodging an Application:
- All applicants must complete the
Application Form, sign it and forward it to:
The General Manager, Lane Cove Council, PO Box 20 Lane Cove

- You may attach your resume (curriculum vitae)
if you wish.
- Your application must address the selection
criteria for the position, preferably

yourself to the selection committee. When listing each of
the selection criteria, you will need to demonstrate an understanding
of the requirements and state how your experience, skills, qualifications
and knowledge enable you to meet the criteria.

them electronically.
Child
Protection (Prohibited Employment) Act 1998.

to your application. Failure to do so may result in rejection of
your application.
