Open Space Plans

 

Lane Cove Council has adopted a number of plans that are used to help manage the Open Space areas.

Open Space Plan adopted 5 November 2007 sets out guiding principles for a number of key themes to reinforce the main direction for the planning and management of Lane Cove’s Open Spaces (parks and playgrounds, sporting areas, bushland, streetscapes and urban spaces).

Plan of Management for Bushland in Lane Cove adopted 5 February 2007 sets out bushland management policies and strategies as well as management activities for each bushland reserve.

Recreation Action Plan adopted 8 December 2008 focuses on providing for recreation activities that take place in Open Space.

There are more detailed plans and strategies for some specific recreation areas/activities. These include:

Playground Strategy adopted 8 December 2008;

Plan of Management for the Lane Cove Golf Course adopted 5 December 2005;

Blackman Park Plan of Management and Blackman Park Masterplan adopted 3 August 2009.

Regional Sportsground Strategy

There are a number of regional plans that include Open Space areas managed by Lane Cove Council.

NSROC Regional Sportsground Management Strategy and Consultation Findings which set out aims and obectives of sportsground management in the region over the medium to long term.
