Ordinary Meeting of Council  

The next Ordinary Council Meeting will be held on Monday, 7 December 2020.  To comply with the directives of the NSW Government and in the interests of public health, the meeting remains closed to members of the public.

Public Forum

The public forum will be conducted online, using the online meeting platform, Zoom.  A link to the video conference, which will include all Councillors attending the online Council meeting, will be made available by email for community members to participate. 

All speakers wishing to participate in the public forum must register by using the online form no later than midnight, on the day prior to the meeting.   A Zoom meeting link will be emailed to the provided email address.

The time limit of three minutes per address still applies so please make sure your submission meets this criteria. Alternatively, members of the public can still submit their written address via email to

Written addresses are to be received by Council no later than midnight, on the day prior to the meeting. (500 words maximum).  The meetings will continue to be live-streamed. Ordinary Council Meetings will be viewable via the webcasting page on this website.
Please note that the name and suburb of all participants, with a summary of the matters raised, is recorded and published in the recorded Minutes of the Council Meeting.

Agendas and Meetings

Ordinary Council Meetings are generally held on the 3rd Monday of each month with the exception of January when there are no meetings scheduled and December where the meeting is usually held earlier in the month.

A Council Meeting Schedule for 2021 has been adopted by Council.

Council meetings commence at 6:30pm if a Closed Session of Council is to be held. However, if members of the public are not interested in any business recommended by the General Manager to be considered in Closed Session, or if there is no such business, Council will ordinarily commence consideration of all other business at 7:00pm.

Meeting Procedure

Council's meetings are governed by a Code of Meeting Practice​, which outlines rules for submission of business items, attendance, debate and declaration of interest. For questions regarding meeting proceedings please contact the Governance Officer on (02) 9911 3525.


Meetings open to the public are held in the Lane Cove Council Chambers, located on the lower ground floor of the Lane Cove Civic Centre at 48 Longueville Road Lane Cove.
