Members of the public can address Council on any matter for a maximum of three (3) minutes during the Public Forum portion of Council meetings.
To speak at a public forum you must register your details with Council by 5:00pm on the day of the Council meeting at which you will be speaking.
You will need to provide and visual or audio material you would like to present to the Council at the
public forum in support of your address by 12 noon on the
day of the council meeting at which you will be speaking.
The Public Forum usually commence at 7pm. When addressing the meeting you must speak to the Chairperson, normally the Mayor. Councillors will generally not enter into debate with, or ask questions of speakers.
