Sydney Community Services provides assistance and care for seniors, people living with disabilities and those experiencing hardship across north Sydney, operating out of Lane Cove and Hunters Hill.
The services, which are accessible both privately and through MyAgedCare and NDIS include Home Nursing, Home Delivered Meals, Domestic Assistance, Flexible Respite, Personal Care, Podiatry, Shopping Services, Home Modifications are Gardening.
The organisation is well-known for its community and social support programs and activities. CALD groups, seniors’ men’s groups, day trip groups and much, much more run out of the Lane Cove and Hunters Hill Hubs, and Lane Cove North’s Meeting House, which joined with SCS in 2021.
Sydney Community Services was established in July 2017; however its history runs deep in the community – back to the early 1960s. Sydney Community Services was formed by a merger between Lane Cove and North Side Community Services (LCNSCS) and Hunters Hill Ryde Community Services (HHRCS).
