Lane Cove Bush Kids – Roo's Clues

Meet Roo to look for – you guessed it – clues! We'll read rhymes to figure out the clues while we explore the bush. We'll work together to find the clues to tell us what Roo really wants to do.  It may just be what you like to do too!

Introduction to Men's Cooking

Join men over the age of 55 for this cooking session where our skilled Economics Tutor will take the group through a three course meal.  This session will concentrate on finger food and attendees will receive a copy of our recipes to try again at home. Lunar New Year

Bring in the Year of the Rabbit at this special event featuring a range of creative workshops, kids activities and live music in the Plaza.

Pak Hok Kung Fu will perform their special lion dance. The dancers will then travel to The Canopy for the finale.

Let's Go Bug Hunting

Saturday 4 February, 9:00am – 11:00am, Lane Cove Community Nursery 

Time to check out the creatures that live in your neighbourhood! Grab a dip net and magnifying glass and join in the Water Bug Blitz to discover which aquatic creatures are living in our creeks. Sift through leaf litter and uncover the critters which lie beneath. A whole world of bugs can be found right under our noses. Join in the fun on this bug hunt.

English Conversation Classes

Tuesdays 7 February to 4 April, 10:00am – 2:45pm, Lane Cove Library

Join a free, small and friendly English class. These classes aim to improve English conversation skills for people with English as a second language. You will cover everyday conversation and information about Australian society, culture and customs.

10:00am – 11:30am: Beginner English class – suitable for absolute beginners
12:30pm – 1:30pm: Elementary Conversation – some spoken English required
1:30pm – 2:45pm: Intermediate Conversation – suitable for more confident speakers

Breakfast with the Birds
