A great way to connect and develop with the community is through volunteering. You can gain new skills, meet new people and make a real difference to your community. It's good to consider your reasons for volunteering, how much time you are able to commit and what you want to gain from the experience. That way you get the most out of the experience and so does the organisation you're working with.
Have you been looking for ways to get involved in our local community? We're looking for volunteers to join our Community Services team and we would love to hear from you!
We're currently looking for volunteers aged 16 years and over to join us in August for two events: Wear It Purple Day and/or Shoreshocked Music Festival.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please visit www.lanecove.nsw.gov.au/youth for all the details and to submit a registration form.
