We are currently seeing an increase in motorcycle fatalities. 39 motorcyclists have lost their lives on NSW road in 2022 so far--the same as for all of 2021. On average, more than 7 motorcyclists are killed or injured every day on the road. International research indicates that per kilometre of vehicle travel, motorcycle riders are approx 34 times more likely to be killed in a crash than vehicle occupants.
