Overview
Council is consulting with the community on a proposed amendment to the Lane Cove Local Environment Plan (LEP) to rezone the site, known as the "Car Wash" site on the corner of Pacific Highway and Oxley Street, St Leonards from B3 Commercial Core to B4 Mixed use, and to construct a 30-storey mixed-use commercial podium /residential tower.
Proposal
The planning proposal seeks to amend the Lane Cove Local Environmental Plan to rezone the site from B3 Commercial Core to B4 Mixed use; and to redevelop the site for a mixed-use commercial podium /residential tower with:
- Height - 30 storeys
- Floor Space Ratio (FSR) - 14.7:1
- Ground floor retail and public plaza
- 4 storeys commercial
- 7 storeys basement parking
- Public Benefit Offer for affordable housing.

"Gateway" refers to the later, official process for seeking and considering the views of the community as required by the Department of Planning, which only occurs after Council has assessed the Planning Proposal and sought the Department's permission to consult.
