Council's Justice of the Peace (JP) service is available Monday to Friday between 12:00pm – 1:00pm at the Civic Centre. This is a free service, and no bookings are required.
A JP can:
- Witness statutory declarations
- Witness an affidavit
- Certify true copies of original documents
What to bring:
- Original documents
- Photocopies for certification
- For NSW statutory declarations, please bring photographic identification with you.
If you do not speak or read English, please bring an interpreter.
Please note, JPs are not available for:
- Mortgages
- Company registration
- Guarantees
- Wills
- Power of Attorney
- Proof of Life
- Overseas documents
These documents should be taken to a Solicitor, a Notary Public or third party. Find a Notary.
