Mobile phones, batteries and chargers are recycled through MobileMuster. Drop off at Lane Cove Council, 48 Longueville Road. You can also download a reply-paid label so that you can send your mobile phone to MobileMuster by post. For further information visit www.mobilemuster.com.au. Alternatively arrange a collection through RecycleSmart.

Beauty productsRecycle used beauty products including shampoo, conditioner and face wash containers, used mascara tubes, makeup brushes, eyeshadow and makeup powder containers in collection bins in the foyer of the Civic Centre. Full list of what is accepted on Terracycles website. Alternativetly arrange a collection through RecyleSmart.
BikesContact Cycle Re-cycle to donate unwanted bikes for re-use in the community.

FurnitureCouncil has partnered with The Bower Reuse and Repair Centre to collect or re-home unwanted goods that are still in usable condition. Too often, items going to landfill via council clean-up could still be used by someone else. 
If the furnture is from IKEA you can take advantage of their Green Friday campaign where customers who sell back an unwanted IKEA product will receive value on an IKEA refund card to spend on something they need or love.

Printer cartridgesDrop off the following brands for free at the  Community Recycling Centre at 8 Waltham Road, Artarmon - Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, HP, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Lexmark, Roland, Samsung, Sharp and Toshiba.  Printer cartridges can also be taken to Australia Post outlets to be recycled through the Planet Ark project. Alternatively arrange a collection through RecycleSmart.
Scrap metalsMetal and steel including keys can be taken to Cleanaway Artarmon Resource Recovery Centre.(Currently closed)
Sharps/ needlesThe safe sharps website has more information about safe disposal of needles.
​Shredded Paper​Small amounts of shredded paper, ideally placed in a paper bag, will be accepted in your blue bin.

SpectaclesLions Clubs collect prescription and non-prescription glasses and sunglasses to donate to people in need via humanitarian aid organisations.
TelevisionsDrop off for free at the Community Recycling Centre at 8 Waltham Road, Artarmon.
