Lane Cove's green waste service is a fortnightly collection system. Only vegetation placed inside the bin will be collected. The bin lid must be fully closed when presented for collection.
Residents may pay an additional yearly fee for an extra bin to dispose of larger volumes of green waste. If you would like to request an additional bin, please complete the following form:

What can go in your green waste bin?
Garden waste including:
- Grass clippings
- Twigs,
- Weeds
- Leaves and pruning's.
The maximum size for branches is 10cm in diameter and 30cm long. If the bin does not comply with these requirements, it will not be able to be collected.
Note: Logs, bamboo, soil, timber and tree stumps will not be collected.
Food Waste
Food scraps are not accepted in your green waste bins.
