Bushcare in Longueville and Northwood

 



Woodford Bay

This Bushcare group began in mid-2005 and are still going strong. The group works along the foreshore of Woodford Bay, a previously neglected and overgrown area, and have already seen some fantastic results from their bush regeneration efforts.

DETAILS:
Meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month
1.00pm – 4.00pm
Meet at the Cowper St entrance to the foreshore, along Arabella St, Longueville.

 

Aquatic Park

This group works at a peaceful park overlooking the water and is focusing on rehabilitating native species to encourage local wildlife.

DETAILS:
Meet on the 4rd Sunday of the month
9.00am – 12.00pm
Meet in the Aquatic Park carpark, off Mary St (above the North Shore Rowing Club), Longueville.

 

Lloyd Rees Park

This group works at a delightful foreshore park overlooking the Lane Cove River. The group is removing weeds and encouraging growth of native species through natural regeneration and planting to boost habitat values. 

DETAILS:
Meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month
1:00pm – 4:00pm
Meet at the playground at the end of Northwood Road, Northwood.

 

NEW GROUP

Point Lane

This group has just started and is working on a small laneway near the foreshore. More hands are welcome!

DETAILS:
Meet on the 1st Wednesday of the month
8:30am – 11:30am
Meet outside 9A Point Lane, Northwood.
