Common Weeds of Lane Cove

 

Weeds are everyone's responsibility - together we can help minimise the harmful impacts of weeds on our environment. Listed below are some common invasive weeds found in the Lane Cove municipality, some of which are classified as State Priority Weeds. Click on each weed to find out more information including where they grow and how to remove them.

Further help with identifying weeds or how to control them

  • Join Council's free Backyard Habitat Program, which support residents in creating native habitat gardens, including weed identification and removal advice specific to your property.
  • Drop in to Council's Community Nursery with a weed sample or photograph on the Community Nursery Open Day, Friday 1 April between 10:30am – 12:30pm. Council Officers can assist with identification and removal advice.
  • Attend the 'What Weed is That' Workshop on Saturday 30 April, 1:00pm – 4:00pm, bookings essential. Call 9911 3566 for more information.
