600 seedlings planted
Published on 30 July 2023
More than 50 locals joined us at Burns Bay Reserve on Sunday 30 July to plant seedlings for National Tree Day.
In only a couple of hours, more than 600 seedlings were planted, which will grow to provide habitat for local wildlife. Wildlife rescue volunteers will also be able source natural food from the trees for the injured native animals in their care.
In addition, Council's Community Nursery donated more than 600 plants to local schools for planting projects at home or school. These plants were propagated by dedicated and passionate volunteers.
A big thank you to everyone for getting involved!
