We're going cashless

From 1 July, 2023, Lane Cove Council facilities will no longer accept cash, making it safer and more efficient for our customers to do business with us.

To facilitate this, we're removing all credit cards fees.

Residents can still pay their rates with cash at any branch of the Commonwealth Bank. This new cashless approach will apply to all payments accepted by Council, except parking meters which will accept coins until 4 September 2023.

We'll no longer accept cash for our services including:

  • Development Application fees and charges
  • Rates
  • Online certificates
  • Parking stations in our multi-storey car park
  • Library services
  • Venue bookings

This complements our renewed focus on customer service, including the introduction of a dedicated customer service team, with a number of new customer service officer positions and revising our opening hours so our team can respond more efficiently to the increasing number of online requests.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
