The Canopy wins

Award-winning first year at The Canopy

The Canopy’s first birthday milestone was marked with another Award, this time winning the Greater Sydney Commission’s Award for the Development Supported by Infrastructure category. The Award recognises that quality planning and design is essential to creating great places and building local communities. Council is proud to be recognised for this ‘bold, mixed-use precinct’ which has now been part of Lane Cove life for the past 12 months. The Canopy has also received recognition with the following industry Awards:

  • Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (NSW) – Civic Landscape for The Canopy – Landscape Architecture Award
  • Parks & Leisure Australia (NSW/ACT) - Community Facility of the Year Award for The Canopy – Highly Commended
  • Local Government Excellence Awards – Asset & Infrastructure for The Canopy – Finalist

It’s been great to see the space come to life over the past 12 months. To find out about The Canopy, visit www.thecanopylanecove.com.au.
