Playing Surface Upgrade Information

In late March 2024 Council commenced its upgrade to the synthetic sportsfields at Blackman Park.

The works involve removing the existing surface which has reached its end of life since being installed in 2014. To reduce the impact to field users, the works are being undertaken on one field at a time allowing for the other to remain in use.

The existing surface will be sent for recycling while the new surface will include an organic fill rather than the current rubber fill.

Updates on the expected completion will be made available to field hirers and the public as the project nears completion.

You can revisit this page for updates or contact Council on service@lanecove.nsw.gov.au with any enquiries.
