Lane Cove Council maintains six sports grounds and ovals for public use.
These sports grounds are used to play a variety of sports including Cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer, AFL, AFL7's, OzTag, Touch Football and Ultimate Frisbee.
All sports grounds have lights for night games or training except Burns Bay Reserve and Kingsford Smith Oval.

Sports ground bookings must be submitted a minimum of two business days prior to intended use.
Please note: Council's Sports Grounds bookings are guided by the previous year's bookings, with priority given to seasonal hirers, local schools and local clubs. Online ground availability does NOT therefore confirm the ground is definitely available, as Council has final approval.

Blackman Park has two synthetic fields and two turf fields with a variety of sports played here including: soccer, touch football, cricket, rugby (league and union), AFL football, Oztag and Ultimate Frisbee.

Burns Bay Reserve has a large open grassed area, suitable for playing ball sports, and a tennis practice wall. Soccer is played at Burns Bay Reserve during the winter season and cricket is played during the summer season.

Kingsford Smith Oval is a large oval park in the heart of Longueville. The site includes a full size basketball court, a cricket pitch, cricket nets and a pavilion. A tennis practice wall is on site, while five tennis courts are available at the Longueville Tennis Club.
The oval is used for club cricket and soccer.

Pottery Green Oval is a large sporting oval situated below the Lane Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre. It has a cricket pitch for the summer season and soccer is played during the winter season.

Tantallon Oval is an award winning public oval, it includes a cricket pitch and pavilion with spectator seating.
The oval is used for club cricket in summer and Rugby League and Union during winter.
