Community Grants Program

Community Assistance Grants 2026-2027

Applications for our annual Community Assistance Grants Program for the 2026-2027 financial year are now open.

Funding of up to $10,000 is available to not-for-profit organisations for one-off projects and services that support and enhance the wellbeing of Lane Cove residents and the community.

Council allocates its limited funds based on community need and program impact. Community need is assessed using Council’s strategic planning documents including Council’s Community Strategic Plan: Liveable Lane Cove 2035Social Inclusion Strategy and Disability Inclusion Action Plan

Further information about the grants program including eligibility and assessment criteria can be found in Council's Community Assistance Grants - Guidelines and Information for Applicants and Council's Financial Assistance to Community Groups Policy.

Applications must be submitted online - hard copy or emailed applications will not be accepted. Apply through SmartyGrants. To start the grant application, register first. Instructions on how to complete the application are included once you have registered.

Please note: This year's application form includes the application for the Cultural Venue Hire Subsidy Grants. After providing details about the organisation, applicants will be asked which grant they are applying for.  If you are only applying for a Community Assistance Grant, select that option only. If you are applying for both grants, please select the 'Both' option. This new initiative aims to reduce duplication for applicants who apply for both grants as well as keeping all funding applications in the same database. At the end of the application form we ask for feedback about the application process.  Feedback, especially about this new initiative, is always appreciated.

For further information please call Susan Heyne, Manager Community Services on 9911 3592 or email sheyne@lanecove.nsw.gov.au
