Young People in Lane Cove

Young people are the future of Lane Cove. At Council, we want to make sure this future is a bright one. To achieve this, we provide programs, events, and engagement opportunities for young people who live, work, or study in Lane Cove. Our programs and initiatives are designed to help young people stay connected, feel supported, and have their voices heard. 

Synergy Youth Centre

A place for young people in Lane Cove. 

Synergy Youth Centre is a free drop-in space where young people can go to hang-out, seek information about support services or participate in programmed activities. No registration or booking required. 

Two qualified Youth Workers are on site during opening hours to provide guidance and support for young people. Youth workers can make appropriate referrals to other services or can arrange for other service providers to meet young people at the Centre.

Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 5:00pm

Synergy Youth Centre, 8 Little Street, Lane Cove (under the Lane Cove Aquatic and Leisure Centre grandstand).

Synergy Term 2 Program

Tuesday - Workshops 

We run a variety of practical and educational workshops which promote life skills, provide helpful tools for young people dealing with daily challenges, and encourage creativity.

Wednesday - BBQ and Chill 

Come to Synergy on a Wednesday, enjoy a free BBQ and chill out with your friends and the youth workers.

Thursday - Challenge Yourself 

Thursday is games day. Come to the Youth Centre and test your skills with video games, board games, cooking competitions, sports competitions and more.

Friday - Cook-Up 

Friday Cook-Up is a well-established tradition at Synergy Youth Centre. Share your favourite recipe with friends or learn how to cook something new. 

Saturday - Saturday Screens 

Chill out and watch your favourite films on a Saturday.

Looking for a place to relax during the school holiday? Look no further than the Synergy youth centre. Our facility is the perfect place to chill out and hang with friends.

Christmas Disco Party at Synergy Youth Centre

Join us for a groovy Christmas Disco Party at Synergy Youth Centre, where we'll dance, laugh, and jingle all the way!

Friday - Cooking Fever @ Synergy Youth Centre

Friday Feast is a long held and much-loved tradition at Synergy Youth Centre. Come to the Youth Centre on a Friday to discover new recipes, cook together, and indulge in a variety of delicious dishes.

Join us for a captivating Lane Cove Gallery Tour this school holiday! Discover local talents, igniting creativity in a fun-filled afternoon for all ages.

Lino Printing Workshop - Synergy Youth Centre School Holiday Program

Young people can unleash their creativity during the school holiday with our art workshop. Synergy youth centre will be hosting a lino printing workshop where participants can learn the art of printmaking and create their own unique designs.

Paws the Pressure Therapy Dogs @ Synergy Youth Centre

A team of therapy dogs and their handlers will be onsite at Synergy Youth Centre from 4:00pm to 5:30pm on Wednesday 6 September. Young people aged 11 to 17 are welcome to come and spend time with the dogs.

Santa's Visit

Come and visit Santa on the stage at The Canopy.

Saturday - Be Active and Connect @ Synergy Youth Centre

Like Thursdays, Saturdays are a day for being active and staying connected at Synergy Youth Centre. Play a game of pool, challenge each other to a basketball match, or book the music room for a jam.

Make friends, have fun, and stay active!

Scrabble Afternoons for Kids @ Lane Cove

Thursdays 3:30pm. Learn, or play Scrabble for fun!
