Wet Weather and Sports Grounds Update

All sports grounds are OPEN.

To find out if a ground is closed, check above for updates or call the Wet Weather Line on 02 9911 3585.

Council may close sports grounds at short notice, based on:

  • Weather report
  • Risk of injury to players
  • Sport played and potential damage to playing surface; and 
  • Condition of ground when inspected

All hirers, including personal trainers and other commercial activities, cannot use closed sports grounds.  

If hirers use closed sports grounds, they are liable for the full cost of repairs and may lose access to Council’s grounds in the future.

When Council closes sports grounds, there are no refunds for seasonal hirers.  

Casual hirers may request a refund in writing within 5 business days following ground closure.
