Road Safety

The Local Government Road Safety Program (LGRSP) is a partnership between Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and local Councils in NSW. 

TfNSW and Lane Cove Council co-fund a Road Safety Officer's position within Council. 

The Road Safety Officer develops and delivers projects which target road safety issues at a local level. 

The focus areas for Lane Cove are:

• Young children - Child Car Seats
• Safety in School Zones
• Pedestrian Safety
• Helping Learner Drivers Become Safer Drivers (part of the Graduated Licensing Scheme)
• Senior Drivers Workshop
