Social Inclusion Strategy
Lane Cove Council's first Social Inclusion Strategy was adopted by Council on 19 June 2025.
This strategy guides Council by raising the bar to create a more socially just, resilient, connected, inclusive, liveable and engaged community. It considers the diverse needs of our community members, and works towards creating an environment where everyone can thrive. It includes strategies that align with the Community Strategic Plan (CSP) priorities to ensure that social inclusion becomes part of Council's daily work.
This Social Inclusion Strategy also observes the NSW Government's social justice principles of Equity, Access, Participation and Equal Rights.
To ensure the strategy reflected the concerns and expectations of the Lane Cove community, the draft strategy was placed on public exhibition for six weeks in May and June 2025, including promotion through Council's website, social media platforms and e-newsletters, and also presented and discussed at the Inclusive Communities Advisory Committee.
