Christmas and New Year Closure Notice 2025-26

Our offices will close from 12:00pm on Wednesday 24 December 2025 and reopen on Monday 5 January 2026. The Customer Service Desk will also close from 12:00pm to 5:00pm on Friday 19 December 2025.

As has been the case in recent years, Council’s website will be accessible over the break however there may be some interruptions to some services over this time due to maintenance upgrades.

Other services will be limited during this period.

Emergency call-outs will be managed through our after-hours service on 9911 3555.

• Lane Cove Library will be open between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day but will close at 5:00pm on weekdays and 2:00pm on New Year’s Eve and re-open 2 January. For other libraries, please check individual opening hours online.

• Bins will be collected on the normal collection days through public holidays 
  • Community Recycling Centre will be closed on 24 December and re-open on 2 January.
  • Lane Cove Return and Earn is closed from 25 December and re-open 30 December. It will be closed again on New Year’s Eve and re-open on 2 January.
