A global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution.
The Plastic Free July campaign focuses on small changes we can all make to reduce plastic waste.
Let's talk about plastic waste
Plastic Free July™ provides a range of resources to help individuals and communities reduce single-use plastic every day at home, work, school, and even at your local café.
Knowing that our community are already doing great things in this space, we would love you to share your tips and tricks to reduce plastic.
You can also make a public pledge to share what steps you will be taking this July and perhaps inspire others to join you!
If each of us take just a few small steps - it can make a big difference for our environment.
Get Involved
Attend our free community events and webinars focused on practical ways to cut down on single-use plastics.
2 July: Jump online to join the webinar on Low Plastic Eating Made Easy, or join us at the Civic Centre to watch it and then participate in discussions with our Waste Education officer and share ideas on how to put ideas into action.
7 July: Log in for the webinar on Choosing and Using Reusable Menstrual Products.
24 July: Visit the Plastic Free July stall in the Plaza, hosted by the Sustainability Collective, for inspiration, resources and practical tips. Also chat to the company Cercle, who are running the Reusable Container Trial.
All month long: Grab a takeaway drink or food from businesses participating in our Reusable Container Trial with Cercle - simply borrow the item and return it to one of our centralised Drop Pods by the next day!
