Bob Campbell Oval in 2022.

A final piece of the Bob Campbell Oval masterplan, a shared user path along St Vincents Road from Gore Street to Bob Campbell Oval is soon to be under construction.

A new shared user path construction and road upgrade is underway from 20 May 2026 from Gore Street to Bob Campbell Oval. Works are expected to be completed by mid-September 2026, subject to weather.

What's being built

  • New shared user path along the northern side
  • Elevated boardwalk at the steepest section
  • Stormwater drainage upgrades
  • Retaining wall along the northern embankment
  • Road pavement reconstruction and resurfacing
  • New kerb and gutter along both sides

What to expect

  • Traffic - Daytime one-way traffic control will be managed by trained traffic controllers. Full two-way access will be reinstated for residents each evening. Temporary traffic lights may also be in use at times.
  • Pedestrian access - Access to Bob Campbell Oval will be maintained at all times, though access points may change as works progress. Please follow on-site signage and traffic controller directions.
  • Parking - Some temporary impacts to on-street parking within construction zones are expected. We appreciate your patience.
  • Noise and deliveries - All construction will be carried out during standard approved working hours. We will minimise disruption to the neighbourhood wherever possible.
